Spring Fling Writing Thing
7 days, 10 pages. Why not?
Since we’re not going anywhere this “spring break,” let’s channel that anguish into some pages! Put on your favorite tropical shirt, slip into your flip-flops, and join us for a low-pressure, no-stress Spring Fling Writing Thing.
It’s free, it’s fun, and even if you won’t come home with an extra tattoo or sand in your suitcase, you will have a nice stack of pages to show for your week’s work!
Writing Week runs March 22nd to 28th

March 22
Make-a-Plan
Monday
Create your schedule for the week, assemble the materials you need (books, notes, files), get yourself organized, re-read what you've already written (if anything), and set goals for the week. Tuesdays and Thursdays have pre-set goals, but on Wednesday and Friday, you should set your own—time spent writing, word count, page count, or any other writing milestone you choose.
The program’s recommended goal is 10pp for the week.
There will be an optional Zoom check-in at 8pm EST that evening for those who want to share their goals and say hello to their fellow Spring Fling colleagues. Zoom links will be sent to those who sign up.
March 23
Two-Page
Tuesday
Today you write two pages. You can write more, but you can't write less.
March 24
Word Count
Wednesday
Set your timer for whatever you put in your Monday plan. Write. Enjoy watching the word count climb as you go!
Challenge yourself to hit a certain number. Take a screen shot of your word count and send it to be posted on our website.
You also have the option to join the Zoom Coffeehouse Writing Group and write in virtual company with colleagues (the coffeehouse will be open from 10-4 EST). Zoom links will be sent to those who sign up.

Lather, Rinse, Repeat from Tuesday.
March 26
Free Write
Friday
Set your timer for whatever you put in your Monday plan. Write whatever you want to.
March 27
Sleep-In
Saturday
Enjoy the day and take 30 minutes to re-read what you've written this past week.
March 28
Synthesize
Sunday
Now that you've written and re-read, take the time you've allocated today to edit and expand.
Your goal is to hit 10pp total for the week.
There will be an optional Zoom gathering at 8pm EST that evening for those who want to share their success stories and congratulate their fellow Spring Flingers. Zoom links will be sent to those who sign up.
